Choice 2: Book Talk Video
Create a book talk video about a book you LOVE. Prepare what you want to say, and keep it brief (think 90 seconds or less!). A good book talk has a strong "take-away" that the audience will remember.
Tips:
- Describe the plot in 1-2 sentences. Don't give away any spoilers; just share the gist or big idea.
- Describe the feelings you had while reading (were you scared or happy?)
- Share an image, passage, or particular moment from the book that captures why you like it so much.
- Great beginnings make great book talks. Could you ask an interesting question?
- Great endings make great book talks. Don't just say, "If you want to find out what happens, go read it." Instead, say something like, "Rush to the nearest library and pick up your copy today!" or "I dare you to read this book and not..."
- Wear or carry a prop that represents something important from the book. Or, at least show a copy of the book.
- Smile! :-)
